Shoutout to the lucky ones staying in Bukit Panjang and its surrounding vicinity of the ever so famous 海鲜煮粥 Hai Xian Zhu Zhou stall located at 163A Gangsa Road, rejoice! For uncle KKM is looking as healthy as ever after his recent surgery!
Recovery from recent surgery

While it is unknown what uncle is suffering from that requires surgery, except for an observable bottle of what looks like blood in the picture, we sure are glad that we are still able to enjoy wonderful bowls of hot steamy and comforting noodles by uncle.

Uncle enjoying his celebrity-like status after his surgery, surrounded by hospice caretakers displaying the thumbs-up sign. He seems as cheerful as ever, a good sign indeed!

Based on our conversations with neighboring drink stall owners, Uncle KKM’s used to operate from 2:30am in the wee hours of the morning (ahh… the good old days of slurping down a warm bowl of noodle soup right after a hectic night at the clubs) but has since adjusted his operational hours from 4am to 2:30pm.
It is said that it was due to multiple complaints from noise generated by rowdy hawker patrons who would speak loudly without consideration of residents living just above. Ever since then, the temporary chairs are stacked and locked away for good in order to discourage patrons from dining at the said location past certain timings. Well, thanks to the alleged noise complaints which led to the removal of chairs, patrons could no longer enjoy their noodles there and then, ultimately forcing uncle to adjust his operational hours.
Uncle KKM will be back in operation from 18 October 2021 (Monday)!
Spicy or Extra Spicy?

Fans swear by the extra spicy version of this soupy goodness with some quoting “it just hits different”.
Their signature dish is the Delicious Koka Noodles priced at $3.50, $4 and $4.50 respectively according to portion size along with variations of dry, spicy or extra spicy if you like a challenge. Abalone clam and cuttlefish options are also available from $4.
Which of these versions do you prefer? Let us know in the comments below! We wish uncle a speedy recovery and all the best for his humble little store.
