LIDDAT

Privacy

Most liddat.com tools work out the answer in your browser. A profile is optional, and you can ask for yours to be deleted.

What you type into a tool

Most tools work out the answer in your browser, and what you type isn’t sent to us. Your NRIC number, salary, age, grades and account numbers stay on your device and are never put in the page’s address. Some tools do send what they need to the service that has the data:

  • An address or postal code typed into the school, PSLE, MP, dengue or near-me tools goes to SLA’s OneMap search.
  • A bus stop code goes to a bus arrival service, and a walking route’s start and end points go to OpenStreetMap’s route planner.
  • Some answers can be shared, so they’re kept in the page’s address, like a car plate (?plate=) or a search (?q=).
  • On the HDB lease page, the block, flat type, storey and floor area go to Flat Prices (hdbprices.com) to show what a flat there is worth.

Kept on your device

Your liddat level and passport, favourites, recent tools, game scores, saved bus trips and settings are kept in your browser’s local storage. They aren’t sent anywhere unless you save a profile (see below). Clearing your browser’s data deletes them.

Your liddat.com profile (optional)

You don’t need a profile to use liddat.com. If you make one, we keep:

  • your nickname, which shows on the game leaderboards;
  • your email, if you add one, so you can sign in on another phone or computer with a 6-digit code we email you. It’s never shown on the site;
  • if you use Continue with Google: your Google account’s ID and email address. We get your name only to suggest a first nickname, and nothing else from Google;
  • your liddat level and passport (the tools you’ve opened, and when), and your game scores.

If you continue with Google using an email address that already has a profile, your Google account is connected to that profile. To delete your profile, email hello@liddat.com from its address.

Visitor counts

We count visits to see which tools people use: the page, whether a tool was used, how long it was open, the website you came from, links clicked to other sites (just the site’s name), your country, and your type of device and browser. A visitor is counted as a code made from your IP address and browser, and your IP address itself isn’t stored. These counts don’t use cookies, ads or other companies’ trackers, and they never include what you type into a tool.

When you send us something

  • Feedback: your message, and the email or Telegram handle you add for a reply, is kept so it can be read and answered.
  • Get an agent to contact me (HDB lease page): your name, mobile, email, note and how you’d like to be contacted go to Flat Prices (hdbprices.com), which passes them to one property agent, as the form says. To withdraw your consent, write to hello@liddat.com.
  • Telegram alerts (@liddat_bot): your Telegram chat and the alerts you set up are kept. Send /stop to the bot to delete them.

Other services the pages use

liddat.com is served through Cloudflare. Pages load data from public sources such as data.gov.sg, LTA, NEA, OneMap and Singapore Pools, and from Ken’s other sites, carma.sg and Flat Prices (hdbprices.com). The Causeway page shows a Google map, and Continue with Google is provided by Google. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
