The EE series came out in February 1975. It was the newest series for 1 year and 10 months, until EF in December 1976. So a car with an EE plate was registered in February 1975 or later: a number can be bid for after its series opens, or kept from an older car, so the car can be newer than its plate, never older.

How old is a car with an EE plate?

No older than 51 years and 9 months (in November 2026), counted from February 1975, when the series came out. It can be younger: the plate only says when the number came out.

When does an EE carโ€™s COE end?

What comes after EE?

EF, which came out in December 1976, then EG in September 1977. Before EE came ED (March 1974).
