Pick a theme

Questions

How do you play Where sia?

Pick a theme (food, history, MRT, ghosts and more) and a difficulty, then read the clue: it describes something that happened or stands somewhere in Singapore, without naming the place. Tap where you think it is on the map and lock it in. Within 100 m scores 5,000 points, and the points drop off the further away you are.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Free, and no sign-up needed: just play in your browser, on a phone or a computer. After a few guesses you can save a nickname to get on the leaderboards, and add an email to sign in on another device with a code, no password.

Can I play with friends?

Yes: πŸ‘₯ Multiplayer makes a room for up to 8 players, each on their own phone or computer. Send the invite link; the host picks the theme, the time per round and how many rounds, everyone gets the same clues, and after each round you see everyone’s pins and who won it.

What is the Dilly Daily?

Ten clues, the same for everyone, new every midnight Singapore time. Only your first try goes on that day’s board.

How do the difficulties and hints work?

Easy shows MRT lines, roads, towns and labels; the hardest shows only the coastline, and harder levels multiply your score more. A πŸ’‘ hint shows the planning area for 40% of that round’s points, and zooming in past the opening view costs 5% of the round’s points at first, up to 60% once building names show.

How many clues are there?

More than a thousand across 17 themes, from hawker centres and MRT stations to schools, war history and ghost stories. Once you’ve saved a nickname, you work through every clue in a theme before any comes round again.

How hard you want it?

Difficulty changes how much of the map you see. Harder = bigger score multiplier.
