What’s the difference between an anchor operator and a partner operator?

Both are funded by ECDA in return for keeping fees down. Anchor operators (PCF Sparkletots, My First Skool, My World, Skool4Kidz and E-Bridge) run most of the preschools in HDB estates and cap full-day childcare at S$610 a month, infant care at S$1,235 and kindergarten at S$150, before GST. Partner operators, 380 centres of 33 operators from 2026 to 2030, cap full-day childcare at S$650 and infant care at S$1,290. The caps are for Singapore Citizens.

How much is childcare in Singapore after subsidies?

At an anchor operator, full-day childcare is S$610 a month before GST. A citizen child of a working mother gets S$300 Basic Subsidy, plus up to S$467 Additional Subsidy in a household earning S$3,000 or less: that family pays the S$3 minimum, and a family earning S$7,500 to S$9,000 pays about S$162. Above S$12,000 a month (S$15,000 from 2027), only the Basic Subsidy applies, leaving about S$310. Pick your band in “After subsidies” above for every centre near you.

How much does an MOE Kindergarten cost?

S$160 a month with GST (S$146.79 before) for a Singapore Citizen and S$320 for a PR, for K1 and K2. Citizens in households earning up to S$12,000 a month (S$15,000 from 2027) get KiFAS of up to S$163 a month, so the lowest-income families pay S$1. Many MOE Kindergartens also have Kindergarten Care, an after-class programme run by another operator, for a separate fee.

What is infant care, and how much does it cost?

Full-day care for babies from 2 to 18 months, in centres licensed for it. An anchor operator charges at most S$1,235 a month before GST and a partner operator S$1,290; private centres often charge S$2,000 or more. A citizen child of a working mother gets S$600 Basic Subsidy and up to S$710 Additional Subsidy by income, so a family earning S$3,000 or less pays S$40.

What does SPARK certified mean?

The centre has passed ECDA’s Singapore Pre-school Accreditation Framework: an outside assessment of its teaching, curriculum, leadership and health, hygiene and safety. It’s voluntary and lasts six years. Tick SPARK-certified only above to see just those.

Are the vacancies up to date?

They’re what each centre last told ECDA, for this month and the six after, and many update them only now and then. Use them as a first guess and call the centre, or ask on LifeSG’s preschool search, where you can also apply.

Is my address sent anywhere?

What you type goes to OneMap, the Singapore Land Authority’s map, once, to find where it is: nothing else goes with it. It isn’t put in the page’s address, kept or sent anywhere else, and the distances, filters and subsidy estimate are worked out in this page. 📍 Use my location asks your browser where you are and doesn’t send it anywhere.
