Where you going? Type the place and see the nearest car parks that are free when you get there, how far a walk each is, and till when it stays free. No need to pay if you don’t have to, right?
Not here: mall deals (free with a receipt, or the first hour), condos’ and offices’ car parks, and roads outside URA’s landed housing areas. URA’s car parks charge, though some aren’t charged on Sundays and public holidays: their signs say.

On Sundays and public holidays, at most HDB carparks from 7am to 10.30pm, under HDB’s Free Parking Scheme: 1,686 of its 2,273 carparks are in it. Any day, on the roads of landed estates where there are no yellow lines, and at the parks and nature areas listed below whose car parks don’t charge. Type where you’re going and this page lists the nearest ones that are free when you get there.
At most HDB carparks, yes: from 7am to 10.30pm on Sundays and public holidays (11 carparks only from 1pm), under HDB’s Free Parking Scheme. Not in season parking lots, which are marked with red, or red and white, lines. Parking from 10.30pm is charged as usual, and so is parking before 7am. A carpark in the scheme has an orange plate on its signboard.
At HDB carparks in the Free Parking Scheme, yes, the same as on Sundays. When a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday after is a holiday too, and this page counts it. Malls and private car parks set their own holiday rates.
On its public roads, yes, wherever there are no yellow lines and no signs saying otherwise. Never on a double yellow line; on a single yellow line only from 7pm to 7am and on Sundays and public holidays. Not across a driveway, at a junction or bend, or within 9 m of a bus stop, and lots marked along the road are URA’s and paid. Private roads in a condo or cluster house estate aren’t public. This page shows the nearest edge of each of URA’s landed housing areas; the street you park on is yours to pick, so be kind to the people who live there.
S$0.60 a half-hour for a car, at any HDB carpark open to short-term parking. At its 16 central area carparks (Albert Centre, Tekka, Pinnacle@Duxton, Tanjong Pagar Plaza and others), S$1.20 a half-hour from 7am to 5pm, Mondays to Saturdays. At 12 busy carparks in Serangoon Central, Marine Parade, Hougang Street 21, Albert Centre and Cheng Yan Court, 20 cents more in their peak hours. A day is capped at S$12 (S$20 in the central area), and a night at S$5 where there’s night parking. When free parking is a walk away, this page shows the nearest HDB carparks and their rate then.
Not at HDB carparks: their free parking is only on Sundays and public holidays. On a Saturday, try a landed estate’s roads where there are no yellow lines (a single yellow line is free from 7pm), the parks and nature areas listed below whose car parks are free every day, or IKEA Tampines. Pick Another time and a Saturday to see the nearest.
Each car park shows how far it is from where you’re going in a straight line, and a rough walk: that line made 30% longer for the turns, at an easy 4.8 km an hour. A free car park 2 km away can still be worth it on a long day out; for a quick errand, paying for the one at the door is often better.
Only to OneMap, the Singapore Land Authority’s map, once, to find where the place is. It isn’t put in the page’s address or kept. 📍 Near me and the time you pick never leave your browser. The lots free now come from data.gov.sg in one request that’s the same for everyone.
Tell us with 💬 Feedback below and we’ll check it and take it off. The sign at the car park is always the one to go by.
