Where the eateries come from

OpenStreetMap’s data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database Licence, and so is this page’s list: download it as a CSV. Hawker centres are NEA’s, from data.gov.sg. Places typed in are found with OneMap, and the map is OneMap’s too.

Questions

Which restaurants in Singapore have a play area for kids?

We know of 41 eateries with a play area of their own: hotpot places like Beauty in the Pot (7 outlets, its KINEX one with the biggest playground) and Shang Pin, McDonald’s with a PlayPlace, IKEA’s restaurants beside Småland, garden cafés like Huber’s Bistro and The Pantry at Dempsey, and hotel brunches with a kids’ corner. They’re listed A to Z on this page; tap 📍 Near me or type a postal code for the nearest.

Which hawker centres and food courts have a playground next to them?

370 eateries have a public playground within a few steps, by OpenStreetMap: 21 of NEA’s hawker centres, like Anchorvale Village, Pasir Ris Central and Woodleigh Village, 34 food courts and kopitiams, and cafés, restaurants and fast food places in the estates and parks. Untick everything but 🌳 Playground just outside to see only those, nearest first.

What makes an eatery kid-friendly here?

Something that makes eating out with a baby or a small child easier: a kids’ menu, high chairs, a baby changing table, crayons and colouring sheets, a family room, or kids eating free on some days. Each place says which it has.

Is the playground outside free to use?

Yes: the playgrounds outside are public ones, mostly HDB’s and NParks’ in the estates and parks, so anyone can play in them. A play area inside an eatery is the eatery’s own: some are free for diners and some charge by the hour, as each one’s line says.

Is my location sent anywhere?

No. 📍 Near me asks your browser where you are and works out the distances in this page: your location isn’t sent anywhere or put in the page’s address. What you type goes to OneMap, the Singapore Land Authority’s map, once, to find where it is; nothing else goes with it. Which kinds you tick go in the page’s address (like ?show=i) so a link opens on them. Show on map loads OneMap’s map tiles for the area, and Directions opens Google Maps with only the eatery in it.

A place is missing, closed or wrong. How do I tell you?

Use 💬 Feedback below: tell us the place and what’s changed, and it’ll be put right in the next update. You can also add a playground or an eatery to OpenStreetMap yourself, and it’ll come in when the list is rebuilt.
