Questions
What year is an SCF car plate?
The SCF series came out in June 1994. It was the newest series for 3 months, until SCG in September 1994. So a car with an SCF plate was registered in June 1994 or later: a number can be bid for after its series opens, or kept from an older car, so the car can be newer than its plate, never older.
How old is a car with an SCF plate?
No older than 32 years and 5 months (in November 2026), counted from June 1994, when the series came out. It can be younger: the plate only says when the number came out.
When does an SCF carโs COE end?
A COE lasts 10 years from registration, so a car registered in June 1994, when the series came out, had its first COE run to about June 2004; one registered later, later still. So an SCF car still on the road has had its COE renewed for 5 or 10 more years at the Prevailing Quota Premium: see the latest COE prices and PQP, and the PARF and COE rebates for scrapping it.
What comes after SCF?
SCG, which came out in September 1994, then SCH in January 1995. Before SCF came SCE (March 1994).
What letter does SCF 1234 end in?
SCF 1234 T. The last letter is a checksum worked out from the prefix and the number: SCF 1 E, SCF 88 E, SCF 8888 K. Check any SCF plate.
