Every number from 0000 to 9999 has the same chance: 1 in 10,000 for each of the 23 winning numbers. What a $1 Ordinary, System or 4D Roll bet wins, and the odds for one number:
| Prize | Numbers drawn | Big, $1 wins | Small, $1 wins | Odds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st Prize | 1 | $2,000 | $3,000 | 1 in 10,000 |
| 2nd Prize | 1 | $1,000 | $2,000 | 1 in 10,000 |
| 3rd Prize | 1 | $490 | $800 | 1 in 10,000 |
| Starter Prize | 10 | $250 | – | 1 in 1,000 |
| Consolation Prize | 10 | $60 | – | 1 in 1,000 |
So one $1 Big number wins something about 1 in 435 times, and a Small one 1 in 3,334. On average a Big bet pays back 65.9 cents of each dollar and a Small one 58 cents.
iBet plays every order of a number’s digits for one stake, so each order wins less. What $1 wins, by the number’s digits:
| Prize | 1234 24 orders | 1134 12 orders | 1122 6 orders | 1112 4 orders |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st, Big | $83 | $166 | $335 | $500 |
| 2nd, Big | $41 | $83 | $168 | $250 |
| 3rd, Big | $20 | $40 | $85 | $127 |
| Starter, Big | $10 | $20 | $41 | $62 |
| Consolation, Big | $3 | $6 | $10 | $15 |
| 1st, Small | $125 | $250 | $500 | $750 |
| 2nd, Small | $83 | $167 | $333 | $500 |
| 3rd, Small | $33 | $66 | $133 | $200 |
From Singapore Pools’ 4D Game Rules of 30 December 2024, approved by the Gambling Regulatory Authority. A number drawn for two prizes wins both.

4D is for 18 and over at Singapore Pools’ outlets, and 21 and over for an online account. On average, 4D pays back about 66 cents of each dollar on a Big bet and 58 cents on a Small one. If betting is costing you more than you meant to spend, the National Council on Problem Gambling’s helpline is 1800-6-668-668, every day from 8am to 11pm, and it has a web chat. The council can also keep you out of the casinos and online betting accounts if you ask.
On Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 6.30pm, plus the odd special draw on another day. The results are on Singapore Pools’ website within minutes, and on this page as soon as Singapore Pools has them: the box at the top shows the next draw.
For one $1 number: 1 in 10,000 for the 1st prize (and for the 2nd and the 3rd), 1 in 1,000 for a starter or a consolation prize, and about 1 in 435 for any prize on a Big bet. A Small bet wins only the top three: about 1 in 3,334.
$2,000 for each $1 Big and $3,000 for each $1 Small. The 2nd prize pays $1,000 Big or $2,000 Small, the 3rd $490 or $800, a starter $250 and a consolation $60 (Big only). The prizes are fixed: however many people bought the number, each gets the full amount.
Big wins more often (any of 23 numbers), Small wins more when it does (the top three only). On average Big pays back 65.9 cents of each dollar and Small 58 cents, so Big loses less in the long run.
Both play every order of your number’s digits. A System entry bets the full stake on each order, so a $1 System on 1234 costs $24 and wins the full $2,000 if any order is the 1st prize. An iBet bets $1 across all of them, and wins $83 for the 1st prize: the same odds, a 24th of the cost and a 24th of the prize.
Three digits in their places with every digit from 0 to 9 in the fourth: 58X2 is 5802, 5812 and so on to 5892, ten numbers for $10 at $1 each. Type it with an X above to check one.
No. Every winning number is drawn fresh, with the same 1 in 10,000 chance for each, whatever came out before. The counts above go up and down by about as much as chance alone makes them. And since 4D’s prizes are fixed, a popular number doesn’t even pay less, though it can sell out.
No. Singapore doesn’t tax lottery winnings: they’re a windfall, not income. Singapore Pools’ website says where and by when to claim each size of prize.
From Singapore Pools’ own results, read when you open the page on top of a saved copy of every draw since the first on 31 May 1986. If anything here differs from Singapore Pools’ results, theirs are the official ones.
